Made in Liberia Export Readiness Initiative

Since its founding in 2018, Made in Liberia has worked to strengthen Liberia's entrepreneurial ecosystem by connecting local businesses to customers through trade fairs, digital marketing, business promotion, and strategic partnerships. Today, our network includes more than 100 active vendors, the majority of whom are women-owned micro and small enterprises that produce quality goods ranging from food products and agricultural commodities to natural skincare, textiles, fashion, home décor, and handcrafted goods.
While many of these entrepreneurs were first introduced to the opportunities available through the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) during our early outreach efforts in 2018, most have not received the practical training, technical assistance, or market access support needed to export their products successfully. As a result, many businesses remain unaware of how to leverage AGOA and other regional and international trade agreements to expand beyond Liberia.
The Made in Liberia Export Readiness Initiative was created to close that gap by equipping entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools, and connections needed to compete in regional and international markets, with a primary focus on exporting to the United States through AGOA.
